How We Do It
Rescue
Work with County shelters throughout Arizona to remove cats and dogs from the euthanasia list and transport them to our facility.

Rehabilitate
Treat each animal as an individual and assess his or her needs in order to provide a course of action tailor made to find them a forever home.

Re-Home

Participate in adoption events where we can showcase our cats and dogs to their best advantage. Post bios on our website and other rescue websites to put the spotlight on amazing animals whom otherwise might not get noticed.

Paws, Claws, and Hooves Animal Rescue and Sanctuary began as a dream "wouldn't it be great if I could..." and has become a reality! A reality shared by many more people than I ever imagined.

Believe it or not most of the original team of people involved in making that dream a reality came together for a common purpose through the worst of circumstances.

The great flood of September 2014 in Arizona wiped out the living portion of our home forcing my husband and I to seek our meals elsewhere. We chose the obvious place which was a local restaurant less than a mile away. Shout out to LW's for saving our bacon for almost five months!

Without that flood we may never have gotten to know the most amazing and caring people who have come together for the sole purpose of saving lives.

What We Do

Rescue

County Shelters can only keep animals for a short time before they are placed on the euthanasia list.

Rehabilitate

In most cases those animals placed on the euthanasia list just need a little more time to heal or overcome undesirable behaviors.

Re-Home

A second chance for domestic animals to find a loving home and family to call their own.

Why We Do It

Rescue is a passion for some and a calling for others; it's what we do!

Here are just a few of the reasons we do what we do:

Because we love animals!

Because we know there is a perfect home out there for every animal in our care.

Because we know every life is worth saving.

Because we have way too much free time on our hands!
